Last week, I attended a lovely cocktail party in honor of Yorkdale Shopping Centre’s newest retailers. If you still haven’t heard, come fall, you’ll be able to shop Kate Spade New York, Ted Baker London, Ann Taylor, LOFT, and many other brands all at Yorkdale!
While chatting with Yorkdale’s GM Anthony Casalanguida, and trying to get him to spill the beans about other possible Toronto imports, I realized that there aren’t too many brands that I, as an ex-Texan, really want to see here in Canada. Until I remembered about Uterqüe!
Uterqüe is an Inditex brand (just like Zara and Massimo Dutti), mainly available in Europe. When I first walked into one of their stores in Barcelona, I knew I’d want to shop there again – the clothes are cute, and not crazily-priced. But unfortunately for us, there’s still no North American online shopping…and no stores either in Canada or the US. What a bummer.
So here’s the deal, Uterqüe and Yorkdale. Make it happen! Because we really need some fresh blood stores here in Canada…and in Toronto. And I want everything in this lookbook!
What do you think about Uterqüe? Is it a brand you’d like to see in Canada? Share in the comments.
