I’ve been meaning to share some of the street style photos of my outfits from WMCFW, and while it’s been over a month, I really love these photos, so I guess better late than never? This season, with my hair a shocking shade of blue, I had to be careful not to dress too crazy while still staying true to my playful spirit. Naturally, I gravitated to black and complimenting shades of blue, but I also ended up wearing colourful stripes one day, because why the heck not? I have no idea why it’s taken me this long to discover Oak + Fort, but now that I have, I feel like a woman obsessed! Seriously…what’s not to love? The brand is Canadian, with affordable price points, and a hella-stylish selection. The fact that most offerings are perfectly monochromatic is definitely part of the attraction – you can mix and match their pieces seamlessly with your existing wardrobe items, or just re-build from scratch with errythang Oak + Fort…you will certainly want to wear their pieces over and over again.

Take this oversized black shirt dress for example – ever since I picked it up last week, I’ve been drawn to it every morning – it’s so easy to throw on, and looks just as good with sneakers as it does with heels…I think I may just need one in every colour!

Converse x Missoni collabs hold a very special place in my heart, combining fashion and function in some of the best-looking kicks I’ve ever seen, these are my casual-wear go-tos. Which is why I’m so excited about the latest collaboration between the two brands for Spring 2015! Featuring the iconic zigzag pattern in All-Star and All-Star Lux wedge silhouettes, and fun colourways like Egret, Periwinkle/Citrus/Berry, Carnival/Peppermint, and more, these are true must-haves for all fashion lovers out there.

In Canada, Converse x Missoni collection is available at Hudson’s Bay, Brown’s Shoes, Little Burgundy, Town Shoes, Gravity Pope, Groovy and Boutique X2O. From personal experience, I know that they sell quickly, so call ahead and put your pair on hold.

Be still, my beating heart! Converse x Missoni Fall 2014 collection images are here and they are EVERYTHING. For the record, it took me 3 tries to type the word ‘everything’ correctly, because my fingers are freaking out. First of all, I’d like you to know that I will wrestle you for a pair of those black and white zigzag high-tops, and second of all, September 15th can’t come soon enough, because that’s when this collection will drop in Canada. Also, if you’re on a budget, don’t fret, the shoes are pretty affordable, ranging from $85 USD to $100 USD this time around.

Having watched Grace do her magic backstage at Toronto Fashion Week for two seasons now, I am still in awe of her makeup skills and her personal style. For Christmas this year, Grace will be giving some practical presents like Starbucks gift cards, and Baby Lips lip balms from Maybelline (I’ve seen Grace also use them on cheeks!). Additionally, she will be picking up some adorable rings from ByBoe (how cute is that bow ring?!) for her friends and family.

When asked what gets her into the holiday spirit, for Grace “it’s all about the kiddies. Once the tree, lights and decorations are up, I always feel festive.”

When I first met Talia, I was smitten with her sweet and bubbly personality, and her talent for styling. This holiday season, Talia is wishing for a perfect pair of rag & bone ankle booties, a Chibi Lady purse by ela in rose gold, and a gorgeous lace dress from LOVER. Ever the stylist, the three pieces go really well together and make for an amazing holiday outfit. Here’s hoping she gets it all!

You Are Invited: Meet Margherita Missoni at Holt Renfrew in Toronto!

For months now, I’ve been stopping by Holts obsessively to inquire about a certain Missoni Elephant, with sales associates giving me “the look” and telling me to check back later…well, no more! Margherita Missoni, Chief Accessories Designer of Missoni, will be making a public appearance at Holt Renfrew Bloor Street on November 8 at 5:00 p.m to launch the highly-anticipated (by me) world-exclusive Missoni Bear and Elephant toys ($50), with proceeds benefiting OrphanAid Africa. Not only are these stuffed animals the cutest things I’ve seen in the longest time, but you’ll be buying something that will assist a great cause too!

“I began volunteering with OrphanAid Africa nine years ago, in its early days,” said Margherita Missoni, President of OrphanAid Africa Italia. “To see the changes and impact we have made to better the lives of children is incredible and rewarding. We are very pleased to have joined forces with Holt Renfrew. The funds raised will further strengthen our cause.”

I was advised that the collab will hit the floor on November 1st, so if you get there before me, make sure to save me an elephant! See you there?

Stylish Road Trip: INTERMIX Somerset Collection Mall

The second day of our Stylish Road Trip to Troy, Michigan started nice and early. After a quick breakfast at our hotel, Kim, Sharon, and I wasted no time…we had places to be! More specifically – Somerset Collection Mall! Having never been to Somerset before, I had no idea what to expect…but the moment we entered the shopping centre’s massive gleaming lobby, I knew I’d love it there.

Split into two parts (high-end South, and more affordable North), Somerset Collection is a shopper’s paradise. With stores like INTERMIX, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, J.Crew, Nordstrom, Ann Taylor, LOFT, among many others, it’s no surprise that the girls and I ended up spending close to 11 hours at the mall. Yes, you read that right – ELEVEN HOURS of shopping…straight! And that’s not counting our late-night visit to Target! Yup, that’s just how we do.

And though we spent hours at Somerset, one of my most memorable experiences that day was definitely shopping at INTERMIX! With a huge selection and a great mix of my favorite brands, I’m pretty sure we spent at least 3 hours with the lovely and stylish INTERMIX team. They were incredibly helpful, and so much fun to hang out with, that time just flew by! And getting treated like royalty was icing on the already awesome YSL/Proenza/Missoni cake. Not only did the girls and I get exceptional customer service, we also received goodies, sweets, and champagne too! I could definitely get used to that!

Luckily for us, there’s an INTERMIX store in Toronto as well…so next time I am in need of a perfect pair of Rag & Bone jeans, or another YSL arty oval ring, that’s where I’ll be!

After a whirlwind shopping experience at INTERMIX, the girls and I continued our tour de Somerset…but I’ll leave that for the next post. In the meantime, check out some of the drool-worthy pieces we found at INTERMIX! Like that YSL cuff on major sale…or that sleek Equipment blouse…Can you tell I’m going through a withdrawal here?

Wishlist: Missoni x Converse Spring 2012

I love, love, love these Missoni for Converse Spring 2012 kicks! The colors are subtle and soft, the prints are (as expected) gorgeous, and the end result is fresh, clean, and awesome. As a huge fan of both Missoni and Converse, I actually can’t believe I still don’t own a pair. Probably because they are so hard to come by here in Canada. Sigh.

The Missoni for Converse Chuck Taylor All Star shoes will be available beginning April 14th at Missoni boutiques and select Converse First String retailers globally. All shoes will retail for $200.

What I Wore: School’s Out For Summer

Here’s a quick look at what I wore to Lisa and Wendy’s Hip & Urban Girl anniversary at SCHOOL. This Missoni skirt is by far, one of my most favorite Winners finds ever. It wasn’t cheap, but since I can wear it as a skirt and as a dress – this double duty makes it worth every penny. And the colors, the knit, the pattern…love it all so much!

And once again…the Levi’s denim jacket. It’s practically second skin to me, especially with this ever-changing weather – it keeps me warm, while looking cool. Right? RIGHT?
