So, I didn’t end up buying the red rosette jacket from H&M’s Garden Collection, but thankfully, Jo was more adventurous than I was. And why wouldn’t she be? She is definitely rocking it, and she even had the balls to wear it on casual Friday to the office – at a financial institution! Now that is commitment to fashion!
What I Wore: Waking Up in Vegas
More like “Gardening in Vegas”. Because I am wearing H&M’s Garden Collection in Vegas! See what I did there? Get it? Ok, I am done cracking myself up, and myself only. Forgive the bad jokes and the puffy eyes, it was a long weekend, and not very restful. But on the other hand, le boyfriend seemed to enjoy his pre-birthday gift of Vegas, poker, and good food (Wynn’s champagne buffet brunch is almost life-altering…almost) – great success! I wore the red dress to an adult Cirque show called Zumanity at New York New York hotel. We stayed at TI, on the other side of the strip, and somehow decided to WALK over to NYNY…not a smart idea. My feet are now mangled. And I think I pulled something in my ankle, because wearing heels has been enormously painful these two days. The things we do for fashion.
The other two dresses were worn out and about (multicolor) and to dinner at Botero (blue dress). Botero was another revelation to me. One of the best steaks of my life (I LOVE steak), and original Botero art all around us – I think I might do a Foodie post later on. If you’re in Vegas, absolutely try Botero – it’s everything a good steak place should be.
I am back in rainy Toronto now, and still wish I was waking up in Vegas this week. It’s like Disneyland for adults, anything you ever wanted, and Chanel on every corner, like Starbucks. Dreamland. I am catching up on LG Fashion week entries, so stay tuned for more coverage. Skin MD contest ends this Friday, so don’t forget to enter!
I Wore: Dresses, Brown Belt, Brown Shoes, Ring – H&M; Cardigan, Black Belt – Zara; Panda Ring – Forever 21; Black Shoes – Aldo; Purse – Louis Vuitton
H&M Garden Collection Available NOW!
To all those that have been emailing me – H&M’s GARDEN COLLECTION IS NOW AVAILABLE in Toronto stores!!! Woohoo!!! I am so psyched and still on a bit of a high from my lunch-hour shopping trip! I got 2 dresses so far. Everyone in the store was going a bit nuts, clearing the racks! Most pieces from the collection are already out, a few more are going to be available tomorrow. The piece that I’ve been coveting the most is still not available, but I will be hunting it down until I get my hands on it. Mark my words, little red dress…mark my words!
In the meantime, however, if you liked what you saw here. Make sure to stop by Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Eaton Centre, or Bloor Street location for your fix of H&M’s flowery goodness!
Update: So just as I promised, the red dress is in the proverbial bag! Woohoo! Got to the mall exactly at the opening time, and realized that most red dresses were already gone! How the…? But after some persistent stalking, I have managed to snag my size! And a few other items. The collection is truly one of my favorites from H&M! And it’s not even a designer collaboration, which keeps the price levels low. Love it! Please do more of these, H&M people!

I Want it All…and I Want it Now!
After the initial look at the H&M Spring 2010 lookbook, I wasn’t exactly dying to go shopping – too many pastels for my taste. But this Garden Collection, ohh la la! The red dress. My goodness. It’s gorgessity, no? I love it sooo much! If any of you see it in stores, please drop me a line…because this is the dress I’ll be stalking until I get my hands on it! My closet is crying for it! Apart from the red-hot dress, there is a ton of other dresses and tops that are just too beautiful to pass up. And as if that wasn’t enough, you should also know that the Garden Collection is made using organic and recycled materials! Beautiful and mindful of the environment? Sold!
More after the jump!
