We are less than a month away from Valentine’s Day, and I honestly can’t wait! What’s not to love about a holiday that celebrates love and encourages people to eat copious amounts of chocolate? I am a sucker for heart-shaped and heart-printed clothing, accessories, and knick-knacks, so this year’s gift guide is for people just like me, so take note. If your partner’s idea of a perfect gift is not a heart-shaped neon light, then you should probably skip this post altogether…but otherwise, check out my fave Valentine’s Day-themed gifts from those beautiful and yummy Chocolates x Brandon Olsen to retro-adorable Love Is coin purse from Anya Hindmarch.

What I Wore: Similar, But Different
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”1729104″]
You may have noticed that I’ve been wearing a lot of white dresses lately…which means I’m either in a rut or I’m obsessed with LWDs this summer. Let’s go with the latter. In my defense, all three dresses I recently wore are very different – the first one is worn off-the-shoulder and has long sleeves, the second is a breezy t-shirt dress with lace, while this one is a cami-style maxi. Similar, but different.
I guess, since the weather has been so beautiful lately, a crisp white dress feels appropriate and almost necessary. I wear these dresses with cute sandals for dressier occasions, with white sneakers (I’m partial to Stan Smiths) for casual strolls, and with ankle booties if the other two shoe styles feel a bit “been there”. Regardless of what I pair it with, LWD is the easiest garment to wear in the summer (perfect for lazy people who want to look put-together). So if I’m wearing yet another LWD in the next outfit post, just assume that it’s my summer uniform…I’ll try to keep it exciting with accessories.
So tell me, do you have something that you keep buying over and over again…similar, but different? Share in the comments.

Wishlist: Charlotte Olympia Feline Bucket Bag
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”1712968″]
Every time I decide that I have enough (read: way too many) feline-inspired fashion items in my wardrobe, I inevitably see another one that makes my kitty-loving heart skip a beat and I’m back at square one. I blame years of cat-fashion deprivation – long before cats were en vogue, seeing feline fashions was a rarity, so now that they are so popular, I am tempted to buy them all, like a crazy cat lady hoarder that I am.
This week, my heart is set on this adorable Charlotte Olympia Feline Bucket Bag (USD $1,095/CAD $1,490), kitty ears and all. It can be worn over the shoulder or across body, comes in a variety of colours and leather finishes, and I really (really) want one. Unlike other Charlotte Olympia kitty bags, this one actually looks pretty roomy – large enough for your wallet and other essentials, and it’s understated enough not to look too cartoonish with your more sophisticated outfits. Oh, and there’s a backpack version as well, if that’s more your style.
So tell me, am I going full catlady here, or do you think these Charlotte Olympia cat bags are cute af? Let me know in the comments.

What I Wore: What Not To Wear…in February
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”1434287″]
Here’s another outfit I wore in NYC during NYFW…in February. Yup, a breezy dress, paired with a leather jacket, and sunglasses, of course. Was I cold while these photos were being taken? Freezing. Should I have worn a parka instead? YES. Was it worth it? Probably not. But don’t worry, I wasn’t completely insane – there are several layers that you can’t see. Like the two sweaters underneath the dress – 1 cashmere and 1 wool, and two pairs of tights. And even with all those layers, I still felt like an icicle. Thank goodness for the abundance of cabs in NYC…because as soon as these photos were taken, I jumped into one and stayed indoors for the remainder of the day.

What I Wore: WMCFW Outfit Roundup
I’ve been meaning to share some of the street style photos of my outfits from WMCFW, and while it’s been over a month, I really love these photos, so I guess better late than never? This season, with my hair a shocking shade of blue, I had to be careful not to dress too crazy while still staying true to my playful spirit. Naturally, I gravitated to black and complimenting shades of blue, but I also ended up wearing colourful stripes one day, because why the heck not? Let me know which look is your fave in the comments.

What I Wore: Belong Anywhere
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”871814″]
Last week, I had the pleasure of attending one of the funnest events in a long while! Airbnb hosted a little lawn bowling tournament and we had a blast learning all about this fun sport, while hanging out with blogger friends and Airbnb Canada team.
Dress code for the event was all-white-errythang, so I wore one of my fave LWDs, and my new “catlady essential” Charlotte Olympia kitty purse. It was an easy-breezy outfit for a fun day outside. Our team ended up winning at lawn bowling, and we all slowly but surely improved our game, in between taking silly photos with the Airbnb bus, of course.
If you’re not familiar with Airbnb, it’s truly groundbreaking! I’ve used their services several times in different cities – each a huge success. This past March, le bf and I stayed in a stunning Parisian flat owned by a bridal designer. We were located steps away from the Eiffel Tower and had the entire 2 bedroom apartment to ourselves for around CAD $300 for 3 nights…total! In Paris! If you were to book a similarly situated hotel room, it would be a lot smaller and A LOT more expensive. Thanks to Airbnb, it’s never been easier and more affordable to travel the world, and feel like a local at the same time!
If you’ve never travelled with Airbnb before, you can sign up using this link and get $32 off your first booking. And trust me, once you try Airbnb, you won’t look at travel the same way again.
So tell me, have you ever used Airbnb? Share you experiences in the comments.

What I Wore: Grey on Grey
Ever since I went grey, I’ve had to make some adjustments in the way that I dress. Out went my fave poppy hues like yellow and red, replaced by grey, taupe, white, and black instead. And though once in a while, I am still tempted to pick up something bright, I am really enjoying this subdued palette for now. It makes me feel more grown up and sophisticated.
I thought I’d get bored of this “no colour” phase, but if anything, it just makes getting dressed in the morning a breeze. A few staples like grey cashmere sweaters, slim-cut black pants, and classic black and white dresses, mixed with kitty flats for a bit of whimsy are all I really need lately, and I don’t mind one bit.

eLUXE x Samsung Canada Lookbook!
So excited to finally be able to share the results of the photoshoot I did back in June with eLUXE and Samsung Canada! A few Toronto bloggers and I got to style a look that would complement the new Samsung Galaxy S5 phone, and I chose this amazing striped Smythe blazer, thrown over a breezy strappy dress from Finders Keepers. Accessorized with the adorable blue phone, this was a total “me” look – perfect for work and play! My blogger buddy Kimberly Lyn also got to play dress up at eLUXE’s downtown offices, and she looked like a total knock-out in her Clover Canyon set. Fashion blogger Deanne Castro, also went for blue hues, rocking a statement necklace over a cobalt frock. The theme of the shoot was blue and gold, and while most of the bloggers wore blue, the outfits were all golden if you ask me.

Wishlist: Kate Spade Vita Riva Wicker Lemon Bag
Ever since I laid eyes on this adorable wicker Kate Spade lemon bag, I’ve been dreaming of Sorrento and ginormous Sorrentine lemons. And now, fresh off my French Riviera vacation, I find myself yearning for Sorrento all the more. And while I probably can’t take another couple of weeks off right now, maybe having this bag on my shoulder will make pretending like I am on vacation just a little easier. Don’t you think?
And if like me, you love citrusy fashions, I picked out several other fruity bags to make your summer a little sweeter. Enjoy!

Wishlist: Charlotte Olympia “Elsa” Lobster Shoes
Phoebe: Hang in there, it’s gonna happen.
Ross: What? Okay, now how do you know that?
Phoebe: Because she’s your lobster.
Chandler: Oh, she’s goin’ somewhere.
Phoebe: Come on, you guys. It’s a known fact that lobsters fall in love and mate for life. You know what? You can actually see old lobster couples walkin’ around their tank, you know, holding claws.
Remember that awesome Friends episode?! Well, I’ve had a soft spot for lobsters ever since then, so it’s no surprise that seeing these Charlotte Olympia “Elsa” Lobster shoes sent my heart aflutter. How fun would it be to wear these in the summer with a crisp white shirt-dress? They are simply perfect for date nights with your own lobster, and would even work as whimsical wedding shoes too…if lobsters are your thing, that is. Either way, I’m adding yet another pair of Charlotte Olympias to my wishlist. The woman just keeps on designing things that speak to me…like cats, lobsters, bird cages, gummy bears…you name it. And I don’t mind one bit!
