Happy Monday, lovelies! And it’s a happy one indeed, because this weekend it was announced that the next H&M designer collaboration will be with none other than Alexander Wang! Launching on November 6, 2014, the Alexander Wang x H&M collection will feature apparel and accessories for men and women and will be available at 250 stores worldwide! The announcement party at Coachella looked like a blast, with celebs like Alexander Skarsgard, Kate Bosworth, Iggy Azalea, Fergie and Katy Perry in attendance.
As the first American designer to ever team up with H&M for a designer collaboration, Alexander Wang says, “I am honoured to be a part of H&M’s designer collaborations. The work with their team is an exciting, fun process. They are very open to pushing boundaries and to setting a platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle.”
To me, this collab makes a lot of sense, because of Wang’s cool, youthful aesthetic, which will certainly appeal to the majority of H&M’s clientelle, and I can’t wait to see which direction this collection will take. Here’s hoping for some cool leather bags, fun sunglasses, body-con dresses with strategically-placed cut-outs and draping, and of course some hot heels too!
