The highly-anticipated Isabel Marant for H&M collection is set to hit the stores on November 14th, which, if you think about it is VERY soon! So when I saw the sneak peek of the collection, published in Harper’s Bazaar, I got really excited! While I was expecting to see a lot of tribal pieces, the sneak peek proved that the collaboration will be much more than that!
Earlier this year, H&M posted 2 other sneak peeks of the collab, a dress (and possibly boots) from the women’s collection, and a sweater from men’s. Both very distinctly Marant. The Harper’s Bazaar article shared that the collab will also include tees, sweats and tribal-chic jackets similar to what the designer showed in Spring 2010, embroidered dresses similar to Fall 2012 collection, and oversized and cropped “shaggy sweaters” made of loops of wool yarn. “We did a kind of knitted ‘fur’ in wool, which is super cool,” Marant said.
And if you were worried about the quality aspect, don’t! Here’s what Isabel Marant had to say about the collaboration: “It was clear from the beginning that we didn’t want to just do a cheap version of Isabel Marant, so we worked around keeping a really high level of quality in the fabrics and the manufacturing, doing things by hand.” Sounds promising to me!
