Last week, le boyfriend and I attended the fifth annual LG Innovators’ Ball – “A Night of Sensory Deception” Gala in support of the Ontario Science Centre. Chef Tawfik Shehata prepared a sumptuous menu that intrigued the senses of taste, smell, touch, sight, and sound, with the first course served in complete darkness.
Thanks to the stylish guests that attended the gala over the last four years, LG Innovators’ Ball raised over $1.4 million in net proceeds to support the Ontario Science Centre’s community access and outreach initiatives, which keep programs affordable and accessible to all members of the community.
As for us, we danced, photographed stylish attendees, and tried to guess whether a cake in front of us was really a cake or a slab of cheese (it was the latter). If you’ve never attended LG Innovators’ Ball before, make sure not to miss it next year. Supporting a wonderful cause has never been this much fun!
