Valentine’s Day: Last-Minute Gifts for Her

Okay, so truth be told…most of these gifts are not last-minute Valentine’s Day gifts for “her” per say, but mostly for me…Stuff that I like, find pretty/cute/adorbs, and wouldn’t mind getting this Valentine’s Day…*hints, nudges, and pokes all around* If you think your girlfriend/friend/wife/lovah might like the same things…well, more power to you…I think any of the above would make a sweet gift to the one you adore. Or just buy it all for yourself, because the relationship that you have with yourself is the most important one. Am I right, or am I right?

What do you want this Valentine’s Day? Aside from yummy chocolates, of course! Share in the comments. Or if you’re still undecided, click here for more Valentine’s Day gift ideas.

Tiffany Leather Collection Preview in Toronto

It’s not every day that we get invited to have Breakfast at Tiffany…like, for real! So when I received an invitation to grab a morning bite and take a look at the Tiffany Leather Collection at the posh Bloor St. location, I pretty much squeeled like a little kid. Can you blame me?

When I arrived, bright and early, I got to meet the men behind the collection – Richard Lambertson and John Truex. As design directors of the Tiffany Leather Collection, Richard and John had a lot to share about the pieces they helped design and develop. And their passion for Tiffany handbags and accessories was definitely contagious!

The Fall 2011 collection is chock full of gorgeous (and seriously well-made) totes, bags, clutches, and small leather accessories. One piece that captured everyone’s attention was definitely the Tiffany Reversible Tote (below), with rock-n-roll metallic (or Tiffany Blue) lining, this tote is literally two purses in one. No need to switch bags, or spend double the money.

My favorite bag from the preview, however, was definitely the Tiffany Avenue Shopper (below) in leopard haircalf with Tiffany Blue leather trim – nice and roomy, with an unexpected pop of color – this is a dream bag for me. Just perfect.

Not surprisingly, Tiffany Blue accents were consistently present throughout the collection. Be it lining, or hardware accents – each bag had Tiffany written all over it (don’t worry, not literally!), and it was a really nice surprise to discover these subtle details.

This was my first introduction to Tiffany Leather Collection, and from what I’ve seen so far, I am really impressed. With prices ranging from $50 to $17,500, anyone can find a piece suited for their taste and budget…especially with the holidays coming up.

What do you think of the Fall 2011 offerings? Let me know in the comments.

Yorkdale’s Tiffany Charity Charm Bracelet

tiffany yorkdale

Sorry for being MIA for the last couple of days. Yesterday was Remembrance day here in Canada, so I enjoyed a very nice day off, free of blogging, work, or excessive Internet browsing. Instead, I went to see The Toxic Avenger last night, courtesy of le boyfriend. Still giggling about the barbershop scene. Ahh, you had to be there! Louise Pitre (in roles of Mayor, Nun, and Ma) and Daren A. Herbert (in roles of Black Dude, and a bunch of random characters – my fave was Lamas) were fantastic! I thought that the show wasn’t as good as The Evil Dead: The Musical, but it was funny and fun in its own way. If you live in Toronto, go see it while it’s still running!

But enough blabbing, the main reason for this post is explained in the photo above. Tiffany & Co designed a special Yorkdale Charm Bracelet, which will be sold for $295 at Yorkdale Mall. And the great part is that proceeds from sale will go to SickKids Foundation! Charming idea, no? Quantities are limited, so if you want to do some good, while getting some timeless bling, make sure to check it out at Yorkdale, beginning 9am on November 19th! After all, tis the season of giving!
