What I Wore: Florals For Spring? Ground breaking.

floral-pants-4

How amazing was the weather last weekend? After those few craptastic weeks of spring (ha!), it felt like being in para-para-paradise! So instead of wasting my time on my mom’s comfy couch, le bf and I went out shopping for one. We hit up Queen St West, King St West, Dundas St West…walking everywhere, with little pit stops to grab Yogurty’s, and other yummy snacks along the way. It was amazing! Leather jacket weather, how I missed you so!

So what about you? Did you enjoy the sunshine last weekend? Share in the comments!

What I Wore: Rebel Without a Cause

Earlier this month Yorkdale’s new expansion wing finally opened its doors, and lucky for me, I got to stop by the new Club Monaco store to do some much-needed pre-winter shopping. Not only is the new and shiny store a visual masterpiece to behold (seriously, check out the details next time you stop by), but it’s also pretty much impossible to walk away empty-handed from the amazing selection currently in stores.

I’ve had my eye on the Candace leather circle skirt for weeks now, so I made sure to take the time to finally try it on…after which it became perfectly clear, that I couldn’t walk away without it. The perforated detailing and the breezy fit made this one a winner for me. I love that it’s girlie, but also tough, and I’ve already paired it with half the shirts in my closet. It goes with everything!

The other item I picked up during opening night was a Beatrice Sweater in grey. Asymmetrical hemline, softest cashmere, and open knit? Yes, please! This sweet sweater will surely keep me nice and toasty this winter, and more importantly…le bf actually approves! Score and score!

There were also oodles of printed pants, cozy sweaters, embellished tops, skirts, and dresses in perfect winter shades, and even vintage designer goodies too! So if you haven’t had a chance to stop by the new store, make sure to check it out. You know you want to!

What I Wore: Grey’s Anatomy

label-mavi-alexa

Wore this outfit the other day to work…and today, I’m wearing something very similar again, all thanks to my addiction to this LABEL Clothing top. Not only is it super comfy, but it’s got style for miles! I mean, just look at that removable leather panel! With it on, or off, this sweater looks incredible…and it’s Canadian too!

This time, I paired it with my new waxed Mavi Alexa jeans in a very subtle snakeskin print, a bib necklace from Banana Republic’s stunning Anna Karenina collection, and new fave shoes in my closet – Devon flats from Stuart Weitzman. I think this outfit is as simple as they come, but with a lot of special touches, that make this one of my favorite looks in a while.

What I Wore: Letting Go

h&m-the-grey-concept

I don’t know about you, but for me, one of the worst parts about the impending below-zero-temps is that soon it’s going to get too cold for leather jackets. Well, technically, it already is…but I am still trying to squeeze in as many leather jacket days as possible (without catching yet another cold this season). This one is from the edgy new H&M Divided The Grey Concept Collection and I never want to take it off. With its slim fit and slick jet-black hardware, this versatile little topper seems to go with everything in my closet, so if you are looking for a perfect leather jacket, you should try one of these on before they all sell out!

I’ll also be very sad to put away these adorable Stuart Weitzman lace-ups this winter. I’ll probably be able to wear them for another couple of weeks with skirts and tights, but I wish I could wear them all year long. They add that instant cool factor to any outfit, and are pretty comfy to boot. Actually, the entire Stuart Weitzman Fall 2012 Collection looked so good, that I might just grab a warmer pair to rock once the temperatures drop.

So what about you? Are there any pieces that you don’t want to stop wearing this winter? Share in the comments!

Stuart Weitzman Fall 2012 Trend Event

stuart-weitzman-fall-2012-trend-event-toronto

Last month, Stuart Weitzman held Fall 2012 Trend Event in Toronto, and I was lucky to get a little preview of the goods. The brand’s fall collection was full of drool-worthy shoes and boots, from embroidered smoking flats, to over-the-knee croc-embossed leather boots, to bold animal prints, the variety of styles made my head spin. And that was not all! The new collection of handbags was also unveiled at the event, showcasing a line-up of sophisticated structured satchels, envelope clutches, and more.

My fall favourites included the aforementioned embroidered flats, toe-cap lace-ups, and those gorgeous (GORGEOUS) croc-embossed boots. I might not be a fan of low temperatures, but I sure do love my fall footwear!

To check out Stuart Weitzman’s entire Fall 2012 collection, please visit the brand’s website, and choose your own favorites!

What I Wore: Childish

zara-floral-pants-pastel

As we’re bracing ourselves for wind, snow, and slush…I thought I’d share one of my recent spring looks. The pastel floral pattern of these Zara jeans reminds me of children’s clothing for some reason, but I really don’t mind. In fact, I think I really love these jeans. Childish, or not.

I also love my new minty fresh H&M sweater. The open knit is easy and light enough to wear on cool summer nights…all summer long. IF it ever shows up that is.

Hope you had a great weekend, lovelies. Now excuse me, while I go dig out my parka out of the garbage bin.

Sometimes all you need is a great pair of shoes. That’s all. No matter how casual the rest of your look is…throw on some amazing shoes, and you’re good to go. That’s what happened last weekend…lazy outfit instantly upgraded by a pair of lovely pumps.

These Stuart Weitzman Capsize pumps are everything I wanted in a spring shoe - perfect pastel pink color, metallic pointy toe, and a sturdy heel. Oh, and they come in “salad green” color too…which I might just have to go out and buy…because, HELLO! They are so pretty!

What I Wore: Holts Muse

holts muse

When I got an email from Holt Renfrew, asking me to participate in a Blogger Style Challenge for Holts Muse, I was ecstatic! Getting to roam the store, pick out anything and everything I liked, to put together 3 outfits – sounds like a dream, right? Well, it certainly was a lot of fun. Gracie, Elizabeth, and yours truly were each given a fun spring piece to style three different ways, and were then photographed by the amazing Adam Moco. Tough job, but someone had to do it.

My spring item was a sporty yellow mini from DVF. For my first outfit, I paired it with a kick-ass Balenciaga leather vest, a lovely Joie striped tee, and a red Balenciaga bag to complete the look. I also wore my own H&M tights, and Stuart Weitzman booties.

For my second outfit, I mixed prints by wearing a lovely DVF cardi over the versatile Equipment blouse, and finished off the look with an adorable neon pink DVF clutch. A little color to brighten up the day. I also wore the Loeffler Randall Natane lace-up stilettos…aka my wedding shoes. You like?
