As soon as Christmas and New Year’s Eve are done and over with, my mind automatically fast-forwards to spring, because the thought of 3 more months of cold, snow, and slush is just too depressing to bear. But don’t fret, today’s wishlist item is as cheerful as they come!
This spring, my must-have pair of shoes is Charlotte Olympia’s Graca Pump from the designer’s Glamazon Cruise 2013 collection! A classic red pump at first glance, the heel reveals a colourful bird caged behind an exquisite “cage” heel. As a sucker for kitschy pieces, I am crushing on this pretty bird…hard. I’ll be surely stalking these at The Room, and online…until I get my
paws hands on them!

Shoeaholics, rejoice! Coming to Toronto’s Design Exchange next year is the Christian Louboutin Exhibit! Expected to run from June 21 to September 15, 2013, the exhibit will most likely feature designs from Louboutin’s personal archives, showcasing handcrafted designs, and one-of-a-kind pieces, which will surely delight the die-hard fans of the designer.
“At the core of the exhibition will be a unique exploration of Louboutin’s design process, taking the visitor through every stage of the design journey, revealing how a shoe is constructed, from the initial drawing and first prototype through to production in the factory,” reports The Fashion Spot.
And while, I haven’t been too impressed with the most recent Louboutin designs, I am definitely excited about this exhibit! Are you going to check it out when it finally arrives in Toronto? Share in the comments!

November is almost here, and that means Maison Martin Margiela at H&M collection will be hitting the stores very soon (on November 15th)! As with all the other designer collabs, I’ve made a wishlist of items I will have to get my paws on come launch day.
This time, I want a lot of accessories, like the glove clutch and the candy wrapper clutch…and of course, the plexiglass ankle booties (and possibly shoes too!). I also hope to pick up a couple of MMMxH&M dresses and that fun bodysuit too.
What about you? What’s on your shopping list this time around? Share in the comments!

When I originally posted the Toronto Fashion Week Survival Guide, a few of you emailed me to ask about the slippers I included in the post, and since I’ve been coveting these for a while now, I’ve decided to share more styles for you to drool over. The gorgeous styles above are by Stubbs and Wootton, a Palm Beach based company, which makes their cheeky slippers in La Mancha, Spain.
Being a kitsch-lover that I am, I can’t get enough of those “screw you” slippers…but the “YES NO” pair is mighty cute too. If you don’t see a pair calling your name, you can order some bespoke slippers too! Shoe type, fabric, color, embroidery, even your very own monogram – all custom-made!
What do you think of Stubbs and Wooton’s slippers? Are they your cup of tea? Share in the comments.

As a huge fan of Miuccia Prada’s work and an obsessed Prada-lover, I really wanted to like these Spring 2013 Prada “Sock Shoes”, but they are just too awful to even begin to try. Unflattering, uncomfortable (looking), and just plain hideous…these so-called shoes are a huge departure from Miuccia’s usual blend of chic and quirky. As much as I loved her “car shoes”, her “rose heel shoes”, the “Chiquita Banana” collection, along with pretty much everything else…I just can’t with these fugly silver/gold monstrosities.
What do you think of these Spring 2013 Prada Sock Shoes? Can they be saved with a couple of tweaks? Will you buy a pair when they inevitably get majorly discounted and pop-up at your neighborhood Winners/Marshalls? Are these so bad that they somehow become good? Am I super wrong to hate these? Share your opinions below. Would love to hear what you think.

Last month, Stuart Weitzman held Fall 2012 Trend Event in Toronto, and I was lucky to get a little preview of the goods. The brand’s fall collection was full of drool-worthy shoes and boots, from embroidered smoking flats, to over-the-knee croc-embossed leather boots, to bold animal prints, the variety of styles made my head spin. And that was not all! The new collection of handbags was also unveiled at the event, showcasing a line-up of sophisticated structured satchels, envelope clutches, and more.
My fall favourites included the aforementioned embroidered flats, toe-cap lace-ups, and those gorgeous (GORGEOUS) croc-embossed boots. I might not be a fan of low temperatures, but I sure do love my fall footwear!
To check out Stuart Weitzman’s entire Fall 2012 collection, please visit the brand’s website, and choose your own favorites!

As we are all gearing up for colder temps, shopping for warm layers and boots becomes a priority. So imagine my delight when I learned about the amazing Pamela Love x Nine West collaboration. I was thrilled! Still am, actually. These gorgeous vintage-looking moto boots ($299) look super comfy (but so cool), and would be perfect for lazy weekends, and fun nights out alike. Can’t wait to get my paws on a pair…or two, come October 30th.
“I really felt the idea of the traveler riding on their motorcycle through the Southwest summed up my brand and my personality more than anything else. I wanted to design a boot that could have been from another time, and I wanted it to feel tough,” says Love about the collab.
What do you think? Would you ever wear these Pamela booties? Share in the comments!

I realize that a lot of fast fashion brands tend to “borrow” ideas from the more expensive brands, but this particular knock-off really takes the fake cake. Unlike Jeffrey Campbell with those Fruit Pump knock-offs, Go Jane hasn’t even bothered to change up Charlotte Olympia’s nearly iconic kitty flats design. The cat face is undeniably similar to Charlotte’s kitty, and though this pair will only cost you $19.40, these cheap faux-suede loafers certainly don’t look nearly as good as the original pair.
But what do you think about this? Is it wrong for Go Jane to blatantly rip off an original design, or do you think it’s not a big deal? Take the poll below, or comment to share your opinion.
