Tommy Ton for Saks Fifth Avenue Spring 2013 Shoes!

Speaking of gorgeous spring shoes…check out this amazing spread shot by the Canadian street style photog Tommy Ton for Saks Fifth Avenue! Featuring some drool-worthy styles by Salvatore Ferragamo, Fendi, Valentino, Altuzarra, Jil Sander, Derek Lam, and more, these photos are making me drool all over my laptop!

Right now, I am straight up OBSESSED with these lace-up Ferragamos. They are insanely hot, and I need them in my life ASAP. The heel looks super high, but the design also looks sturdy and secure, so I probably wouldn’t break my ankle. Just in case, I’d like these flat snakeskin Valentinos as well…you know, to mix it up!

What do you think about this photo spread? Are you getting excited for spring? Do tell!

Aldo Shoes Spring 2013 Collection Preview

What could be better than a fun ALDO Shoes Spring 2013 preview on a frigid snowy day? In my books, it’s as good as it gets! Yesterday, I battled the elements to get to the preview, and was rewarded with a room full of drool-worthy boots and shoes, fun accessories, and a whole lotta items to add to my spring wishlist.

There was footwear from Madonna’s Truth or Dare collection (pastels, neons, and spikes, oh my!), spring offerings from Little Burgundy, Call It Spring, and GLOBO, and of course, some breathtaking stunners from ALDO. Some of my favourites included the entire ALDO Rise Spring 2013 line-up (Preen lace-ups are to die for!), ankle booties with buckles and cut-outs, sea-inspired bags, and fun sunglasses with floral accents. But really, I just want it all!

Some of the pieces will be hitting the stores as early as this month, with the majority of spring goodies arriving in April 2013…and I honestly can’t wait ’til we are back to cute-shoes-weather.

Alexander Wang Spring 2013 Ad Campaign

I’ve been daydreaming about these amazing Alexander Wang Spring 2013 shoes for months now, and seeing them in this ad campaign shot by Steven Klein and starring Polish model Malgosia Bela has definitely reinvigorated by shoe-crush. These shoes/boots are (for the lack of a better word) HOT, and I hope I can get my hands on a pair this season.

Wishlist: Charlotte Olympia Graca Pumps

As soon as Christmas and New Year’s Eve are done and over with, my mind automatically fast-forwards to spring, because the thought of 3 more months of cold, snow, and slush is just too depressing to bear. But don’t fret, today’s wishlist item is as cheerful as they come!

This spring, my must-have pair of shoes is Charlotte Olympia’s Graca Pump from the designer’s Glamazon Cruise 2013 collection! A classic red pump at first glance, the heel reveals a colourful bird caged behind an exquisite “cage” heel. As a sucker for kitschy pieces, I am crushing on this pretty bird…hard. I’ll be surely stalking these at The Room, and online…until I get my paws hands on them!

Christian Louboutin Exhibit Coming to Toronto!

Shoeaholics, rejoice! Coming to Toronto’s Design Exchange next year is the Christian Louboutin Exhibit! Expected to run from June 21 to September 15, 2013, the exhibit will most likely feature designs from Louboutin’s personal archives, showcasing handcrafted designs, and one-of-a-kind pieces, which will surely delight the die-hard fans of the designer.

“At the core of the exhibition will be a unique exploration of Louboutin’s design process, taking the visitor through every stage of the design journey, revealing how a shoe is constructed, from the initial drawing and first prototype through to production in the factory,” reports The Fashion Spot.

And while, I haven’t been too impressed with the most recent Louboutin designs, I am definitely excited about this exhibit! Are you going to check it out when it finally arrives in Toronto? Share in the comments!

Wishlist: Stubbs and Wootton

When I originally posted the Toronto Fashion Week Survival Guide, a few of you emailed me to ask about the slippers I included in the post, and since I’ve been coveting these for a while now, I’ve decided to share more styles for you to drool over. The gorgeous styles above are by Stubbs and Wootton, a Palm Beach based company, which makes their cheeky slippers in La Mancha, Spain.

Being a kitsch-lover that I am, I can’t get enough of those “screw you” slippers…but the “YES NO” pair is mighty cute too. If you don’t see a pair calling your name, you can order some bespoke slippers too! Shoe type, fabric, color, embroidery, even your very own monogram – all custom-made!

What do you think of Stubbs and Wooton’s slippers? Are they your cup of tea? Share in the comments.

Friday Faux Pas: Prada Spring 2013 Sock Shoes

As a huge fan of Miuccia Prada’s work and an obsessed Prada-lover, I really wanted to like these Spring 2013 Prada “Sock Shoes”, but they are just too awful to even begin to try. Unflattering, uncomfortable (looking), and just plain hideous…these so-called shoes are a huge departure from Miuccia’s usual blend of chic and quirky. As much as I loved her “car shoes”, her “rose heel shoes”, the “Chiquita Banana” collection,  along with pretty much everything else…I just can’t with these fugly silver/gold monstrosities.

What do you think of these Spring 2013 Prada Sock Shoes? Can they be saved with a couple of tweaks? Will you buy a pair when they inevitably get majorly discounted and pop-up at your neighborhood Winners/Marshalls? Are these so bad that they somehow become good? Am I super wrong to hate these? Share your opinions below. Would love to hear what you think.
