Aldo Shoes Spring 2013 Collection Lookbook

ALDO’s ad campaigns never disappoint, and this one’s no exception. The fun and colourful images make me forget about this rainy week, and transport me to balmy summer days, when we can fire up the BBQ, lounge by the pool, and wear shorts and sandals!

And speaking of sandals…I’m obsessed with more than one pair of ALDO shoes right now. From their gorgeous ALDO Rise x Preen collab, to the cut-out ankle booties, to some plexiglass heels, I want them all! Oh…and let’s not forget about accessories! How cute are those pixelated sunglasses? I want one of each, please!

Alexander Wang Spring 2013 Ad Campaign

I’ve been daydreaming about these amazing Alexander Wang Spring 2013 shoes for months now, and seeing them in this ad campaign shot by Steven Klein and starring Polish model Malgosia Bela has definitely reinvigorated by shoe-crush. These shoes/boots are (for the lack of a better word) HOT, and I hope I can get my hands on a pair this season.

H&M Spring 2013 Lookbook

It’s the new year, which means we can totally start looking forward to spring! So just in case you are currently staring at a pile of snow the size of your house and need a reason to cheer up, check out these photos from H&M’s latest Spring 2013 lookbook, featuring Magdalena Frackowiak. My fave pieces are black and white and striped (no surprise there), but the simplicity of a leather jacket over a white shirt is making me miss leather jacket weather all over again. Three more months to go, people. Just three more months until spring. The countdown is ON!

Can I tell you how much I love these Prada Spring 2013 ad campaign images?! Considering how awful those geisha flip flops are, I am rather surprised that I am so into this campaign. And though these photos certainly haven’t changed my mind about those nightmarish shoes, I am still head over heels about the styling of this campaign, the models, the eyewear, and those quirky floral pieces. If I was a rich girl…I’d have a wardrobe full of Prada, because season after season, I fall in love all over again. How does Miuccia do it?!

Toronto Fashion Week: Joe Fresh Spring 2013 Collection

Joe Fresh gives good show. Everybody knows that. And though it’s been proven many a-times before, Joe Fresh Spring 2013 show in particular, was one for the history books.

First things first…Pat Cleveland is a goddess. Pat opened the show sashaying, gliding, and dancing to the beat and down the runway, past the cheering and clapping audience, looking very much like the definition of fierce (sorry, that’s the only word I could use to describe it). It was glorious!

As for the clothes, I loved it all. Bold stripes, graphic prints, and silver leather pieces from this collection will be sure to make the upcoming summer a cool one…and my closet a happy one. I already have the entire Joe Fresh Fall 2012 collection in my closet (or at least most of it), Spring 2013 will soon follow suit.

Some of my favourite pieces included a metallic dress with cut-outs, metallic jackets and skirts, and black and white everything. Come spring, there’s a good chance you’ll see me camping out at my local Joe Fresh on truck days, stalking these pieces like a lioness stalks her prey. And to be honest, I’m really looking forward to it.

Fash Weekly: March 2012 Editorial Preview

And the first Style Blog x Fash Weekly feature is here! Today, I have for you a preview of Fash Weekly’s March 2012 editorial, inspired by my fave style icon – Audrey Hepburn. With red accents galore, and elegant silhouettes throughout, this shoot is right up my alley. And that coat? I need to get my hands on that gorgeous red coat before the winter is over.

Gary Effing Oldman for Prada Fall 2012 Men’s RTW

Dear Miuccia, well-played! Normally, I don’t blog about Men’s RTW shows…but in this case, I simply had to make an exception! Because…Gary Effing Oldman…Willem Dafoe…need I say more? Actually, Willem Dafoe and Jamie Bell look like they’ve been doing this sort of thing forever. With Dafoe looking extra (for the lack of a better word) FIERCE! He totally looks like an aging ex-super-male-model. Non?

Tim Roth, Adrien Brody, and Emile Hirsch also strutted their stuff at Prada’s Fall 2012 Men’s RTW show, rocking double-breasted coats, turtlenecks, and in Roth’s case – a big smile. How un-modelly of him. And though I loved most of these leading men’s struts, one of these “models” left me cold. Emile Hirsch looked completely out-of-place on the runway – not doing justice to the amazing clothes that wore him. Oh well, 5 out of 6 is not too bad…not at all. Also…I want/need/gotta get my paws on that amazing coat that Adrien is wearing. It’s amazing. AMAZING. Seriously, I love it so much! For me.

H&M Spring 2012 Collection Featuring Liya Kebede

We finally had our first snowfall here in Toronto. And just like that, I’ve decided that I’ve had enough of cold and snow for one winter. To top it off, this H&M Spring 2012 campaign featuring Liya Kebede the genetically-blessed-goddess landed in my inbox, inducing daydreams of tropical getaways, sun, sand, and extra-large fruity cocktails. Le sigh. Where is that Cabo vacay when you really need it?!

Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 Ad Campaign

I don’t know about you, but Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2012 ad campaign, shot by Steven Meisel, and starring Daria Strokous and Kati Nescher has me coveting everything. Those intricate eyelet lace dresses, the pointy silver pumps, the chic suiting – it’s all so feminine, and has me day-dreaming of macarons, marshmallows, and Paris.

Or perhaps it’s the candy-garnished milk shakes that have me drooling. Either way…sign me up!
