MAC Venomous Villains

When I first heard that MAC was launching a line based on Disney Villains, I was super excited! I mean, seriously, why does everyone have to worship the heroes? The baddies usually have a way cooler wardrobe and, let’s face it, much more fun. And ever since I received the Mean & Green Nail Lacquer and the Devilishly Stylish Lipglass, courtesy of MAC, I haven’t stopped gushing about the fun collection to whoever will listen.

The nail polish is definitely a new favorite – it’s iridescent, and changes its color from purple to green (or purple and black, according to le boyfriend), depending on the way the light hits my nails. I feel oh-so-wicked every time I glance at my fingers. And though I expected a brighter color from a Cruella Lipglass tube, the light nude gloss is incredibly wearable and the packaging is to die for!

MAC Venomous Villains are inspired by the slave-to-fashion Cruella de Vil, Snow White’s vain and beautiful Evil Queen, Sleeping Beauty’s dragon-lady Maleficent, and the “dastardly” Dr. Facilier of The Princess and the Frog. The collection launches on September 30th in North America, and will be available through October 2010. Make sure to get your fave villain, before they are all gone. Being bad has never felt so good!

Lady Gaga For MAC

Gaga

It was announced yesterday that Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper are the newest faces of MAC’s Viva Glam campaign. The “From Our Lips” campaign will launch on February 25, 2010 featuring the MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick and Viva Glam Cyndi Lipstick, $14 each, will be available in North America on March 18 and globally throughout the month with 100 percent of the proceeds being donated to the MAC AIDS Fund, according to WWD. Lady Gaga seems like the right choice for the campaign, since previous ads featured heavily made up singers/celebrities. I think it’s right up her alley. Very curious to see the palettes!
