What I Wore: Pale and Floral

mavi-red-jeans

Received these cute (and super comfy) Mavi Floral Red Jeans in the mail last week…I guess the news of my crazy pants addiction travel fast, huh? Well, if that means more crazy fun pants added to my wardrobe, than I don’t mind it one bit.

Don’t be fooled by this outfit…last weekend (when I wore it) wasn’t really warm enough for bare arms yet, but it sure was warm enough for some photos with my jacket off. This weekend however…oh, this weekend, I am baring my arms and legs…for realsies! Unless the weather people lied again, which they have been known to do…in which case, you’ll be spared from seeing my neon WHITE skin. Positive thinking, people! It’s a thing.

Speaking of my ghastly complexion…Should I try one of those spray tan booths before my wedding? I don’t want to end up like Anne Hathaway’s character in that horrid Bride Wars movie…but I also don’t want to look like this either…What to do, folks? If you have any tan-related advice…or crazy pants suggestions…please let me know!

H&M Fashion Against AIDS 2012 Lookbook

hm-fashion-against-aids-lookbook-2-2012

In less than a week (on April 26th), H&M’s Fashion Against AIDS 2012 collection will hit the stores, and I seriously can’t wait. Full of colorful tribal prints and fun accessories, with a portion of proceeds going towards a very important cause, this collection should be on everyone’s summer must-buy list.

“Safe sex is a message that each new generation needs to hear, which is why H&M is launching its fifth Fashion Against AIDS (FAA) collection, to raise funds and create awareness about HIV/AIDS among the young.”

Do you like this year’s (fifth!) FAA collection? Which pieces are on your wishlist? Share in the comments.

What I Wore: Quebec City Part 1

Despite some mishaps and problematic planning, my birthday extravaganza (coined by le boyfriend) away from my friends for the first time, was a success. After a long-ish work-week, I was whisked away on a Porter plane to the faraway land of castles, small winding streets, horse carriages, and fab food – Quebec City.

Almost immediately after stepping foot into Old Quebec, I found myself staring at a Longchamp bag I’ve wanted for a while, yet have never been able to find (even in Paris…three times!). Well, as luck had it, the store did carry the version I’ve been lusting after, and I snatched it up without hesitation. Good start to the trip, right?

I also got to wear my H&M Fashion Against AIDS dress for the first time. Was supposed to wear it to Al’s birthday BBQ, but since we ended up missing it, I wore it in Quebec instead…to le boyfriend’s disappointment (he hates any type of leopard print).

The rest of the day was spent eating (Le Lapin Sauté), walking around and sightseeing, and drinking Blanche De Chambly, which is le boyfriend’s favoritest beer. The weather, thankfully, was quite perfect for a day of discovering Quebec city’s markets, streets, and patios. And since this was my first time in the city, my poor feet did not get much rest at all. But I guess, this is good practice for our next trip to Europe.

What I Wore: Dress, Turquoise Ring, Nail Polish, Men’s Bracelet – H&M; Blazer – Zara; Turquoise Bracelet, Shoes – Urban Outfitters; Belt – Forever 21; Sunglasses – Ray Ban; Backpack – Chanel

H&M Fashion Against AIDS Collection Launch in Toronto

What’s guaranteed to make a rainy Toronto day better? A party at H&M, of course! Fashion Against AIDS collection launched last night at Toronto’s Queen Street H&M store, and I was super stoked to have been able to get the pieces I’ve been coveting! Among the things I bought last night was the leopard print dress (above), which I love, love, love, the leopard print raincoat (only $4!!!), a few cool tank tops, and a Missoni-inspired tank dress (only$14!!!). I really wanted to buy the zebra-print maxi dress, but unfortunately it didn’t look too flattering on my frame…but if you’ve got the body for it, it’s a must-have for the summer, and ONLY $30!!! The store was packed to the brim, and Bedouin Soundclash performed later in the evening, though I didn’t stick around to hear them play.

The whole collection is very reasonably priced, and most fabrics are natural, which is a must for me in the summer. Too bad tents, chairs, and a few other items were not available in Toronto, they would have came in super handy on my next camping trip! But the leopard print dress was there, and I snatched it up! So proud of myself…will probably wear it to next weekend’s birthday BBQ!

FAA collection is available at Toronto Queen Street location today, and 25% of sales will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects. Cute styles, good cause – what can be better? I can think of one thing…it’d be better to get it for free, wouldn’t it? Well, last night I bought something extra, and I might just send it your way! An FAA-themed giveaway is coming soon…stay tuned.

H&M Fashion Against AIDS 2010 Lookbook

Last week we got a sneak-peak of the music-festival-inspired H&M’s 3rd Fashion Against AIDS collection. Well, hide your credit cards, a better look at the collection is now available! Ever since this lookbook landed in my inbox, I’m sad (for my wallet) to say, that I am in love with so many pieces! The maxi dress above is a must-have for me this summer, as well as the black fedora, ruffled white dress, leopard print sandals, and much more! Of course, once I see these pieces in real life on May 20th, I’ll be able to gauge the “must vs. want” much better. In the meantime, scroll through the pics and drool with me.

H&M Fashion Against AIDS 2010 Collection

While the last two H&M Fashion Against AIDS collections consisted of celeb-endorsed tees and tank tops, this one seems to be much, much more than that! The festival-inspired pieces will be available on May 20th, 2010, with 25% of sales donated to youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects. And believe you me, I’ll be in stores to grab a few pieces for myself! I simply adore the bohemian feel of this collection!  There’s just so much to love, and prices, just like with their Garden Collection, are definitely right! My favorite pieces are the shoes and leopard print dress below. Fun, fab, cheap, and all for a good cause! Don’t forget to add the date to your calendars!

More pics after the jump!
