I don’t know about you, but I love The Hunger Games! Read the books obsessively without being able to put them down, and have been waiting for the sequel for what feels like FOREVER! Well, today, I saw these amazing Capitol Couture portraits of Katniss, Effie, Johanna, and Caesar, all clad in very glam outfits, with Effie actually wearing an Alexander McQueen gown! Are we supposed to pretend that Cinna designed these? If so…great job, Cinna!
What do you think about these haute portraits of some of our fave characters? Are you getting excited for Catching Fire? Share in the comments.

Only once I was done putting together the photos of my Best Dressed picks from the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, did I realize that all the ladies represented are blondes. And as such, is this not the best fantasy Real Housewives cast you’ve ever seen? I mean, we’ve got funny ladies Leslie Mann and Elizabeth Banks (sisters in my script), their spoiled and angsty teenage niece Dakota Fanning (in a gorgeous Prada frock to boot), the adorable preggo girl-next-door Reese Witherspoon (who is secretly a backstabbing biatch), and Kate Hudson - a quirky hippie neighbor (like Phoebe, but rich…obvi). I would totally watch that show! Wouldn’t you?
Back to the clothes. I like what these ladies wore. Also…which housewife is most likely to have an on-camera breakdown? Which housewife is sleeping with Dakota’s teenage boyfriend? And WHY isn’t this a show already?

The Met’s Costume Institute Gala is a ball. It is also a candy-shop-like heaven for the fashion lovers, what with beautiful gowns and crème de la crème of celeb world. But when said celebs pick some disastrous outfits to wear on such an important night, it makes me wonder if they did that to get noticed and to stand out from the crowd.
Well, in Katy Perry’s case, one does not need to wonder. A romantic white dress that lights up in the dark screams for attention…and that necklace is all wrong for the neckline of the dress. In my humble opinion, Katy Perry is the fail of the night.
A few other notables are Vera Farmiga in an ill-fitted baby blue Sophie Theallet for Gap fit for a saloon, Malin Ackerman in a not-so-flattering black-and-white dress, complete with blah hair, Elizabeth Banks in a fashion-forward feathered Gucci number that she overaccessorized bringing it from cool to trying-too-hard territory, and last but not least – Carey Mulligan in Miu Miu – cute dress, wrong occasion (plus the color washes out her pretty face).
What do you think about these dresses? Are they the worst of the night or do you have a soft spot for some of them? Sound off in the comments!
