Le boyfriend’s first reaction at seeing me in my new-ish Zara leopard print coat was sheer horror. To him, leopard print in general, translates into a trashy Eastern European woman with no taste. As a person of East European descent, I don’t take any offence to his aversion – I’ve seen my fair share of horrid use of leopard print, zebra print, etc. back home to be able to agree with him that animal prints can definitely go wrong if worn inappropriately. But… can such an awesome and stylish group as Aurora Sansone, Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Viviana Volpicella, Poppy Delevigne, and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld really be wrong? Sure, they could. But to me, in my humble opinion, a leopard print coat is a chic top-up to a simple outfit. And that’s that. Love it or hate it.

After a brief case of the “mondays” I am back to normal posting schedule! Yay!
Since babies are so in right now (just ask Bruno), lots of celeb parents were out this past weekend trick-or-treating with their little ones. And surprisingly, my fave Halloweened out celebrity this year was not Heidi Klum, but Gwen Stefani dressed as Jessie from Toy Story! I also loved her last year’s cat costume. I think it’s truly a testament of Gwen’s beauty…she can pull off virtually any look and still stay gorgeous. My other faves this year included Ellen as Oprah Magazine, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo as Frankenstein and his bride, and Jimmy Fallon as Robert Pattinson. Also, though I really don’t want to promote this toxic duo, Twit and Twat’s portrayal of Jon and Kate plus Hate was quite funny and scary at the same time. Maybe celebrity impersonation is what Spencer Pratt and his plastic wife should stick to? Just a thought.

Don’t you just love it? Anna Wintour gives the best bitchface ever! She seems to absolutely abhor the seating arrangements at the Twenty8Twelve fashion show in London. Obviously, those two youngsters are not worthy of sharing the same air as La Wintour. And her body language??? She should just hold her nose and this picture would be perfect! Some girls have all the luck!

What do you think about the newly released DKNY Jeans Fall 2009 ads? They were shot by Scott Schuman (The Sartorialist) in his signature street photography style. The Femme Fall line was designed by Hilary Duff. Why? Because every singer is a designer, and every actress is a designer too. It’s that easy, didn’t you know?
I don’t particularly like Hilary’s style, but the campaign does not leave me cringing (except for white pumps with leggings…eek). Maybe it’s the photographs, or the styling by Tabitha Simmons, or maybe it just isn’t bad. Kinda makes me crave Fall clothing now…and the summer hasn’t even started yet! How messed up is that?

One more pic after the jump!
