Marni at H&M First Ad Revealed!

Back in November, it was announced that Marni would be the next designer to collaborate with one of my fave fast fashion brands – H&M! Well, a couple of months later, we have the first image from the collab’s ad campaign, featuring Imogen Poots! I simply adore the luxurious and moody feel of this ad…and it definitely makes me want to see more. The collection will hit the stores on March 8th, but I hope we’ll be seeing a few more sneak peeks in the meantime.

What do you think of this first look at Marni x HM ad campaign? Let me know in the comments.

Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 Ad Campaign

I don’t know about you, but Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2012 ad campaign, shot by Steven Meisel, and starring Daria Strokous and Kati Nescher has me coveting everything. Those intricate eyelet lace dresses, the pointy silver pumps, the chic suiting – it’s all so feminine, and has me day-dreaming of macarons, marshmallows, and Paris.

Or perhaps it’s the candy-garnished milk shakes that have me drooling. Either way…sign me up!

One more after the jump!

Wishlist: Miu Miu Glitter Shoes

I’ve already professed my love for Miu Miu Glitter Booties on my Stylish Bride blog (which I’ve abandoned lately), but I just cannot get enough of Miu Miu gorgessity this season. This ad, featuring Hailee Steinfeld living out every girl’s dream of swimming in sparkly shoes, is a few months old now, but the impact is still the same – NEED.WANT.GOTTA.HAVE.

Unfortunately, I still haven’t seen this exact pump online…but I am paying close attention – the pair in blue has my name written all over it. Which color is your fave? Share in the comments!

Versace for H&M Ads!!!

First ads from the Versace for H&M campaign have leaked on TFS today, and they are getting me more and more excited! How amazing does Sasha Pivovarova look with that green hair??? And her jacket? I need that jacket! It’s Hawaiian shirt meets Anna Dello Russo – aka perfection! And those bracelets and belt?…Sheesh, I’d better start saving up now!

Holidays 2011: Aldo Ad Campaign feat. Lily Donaldson and Matthew Gray Gubler

Are you seeing what I’m seeing? These amazing photos of Aldo’s Holiday 2011 Ad Campaign are giving me the “I need it now” shakes. The glittery heels that Lily Donaldson is rocking below? Ah-mazing. And those Miu-Miu-esque star pumps above have me starry eyed, and getting my wallet ready for some damage.

What do you think about this new campaign, featuring model/actress Lily Donaldson and Criminal Minds’ cutie Matthew Gray Gubler? Personally…I love. Can’t wait till they are available!

PS. Aldo just confirmed that these shoes will be in stores sometime in October. Only 3 months to go!

Holidays 2010: H&M Campaign

There’s nothing that gets me more in the Christmas mood than good ads. Sure, they are as commercial as it gets and are aimed at selling things, but good holiday ads are also great at making me feel all warm and fuzzy, and most importantly – jolly! Usually, it’s the Gap ads that I love during the holiday season - the colors, the abundance of festive sweaters and plaids - they all make me want to sprint to the nearest Gap store to pick up a pair of comfy PJs, to wear on cool December evenings with a cup of hot chocolate in tow.

This year, however, I am smitten with H&M’s holiday campaign. Love the family-oriented photos, the festive styling, the diverse cast, and just the overall loveliness that this campaign exudes. These photos have me fa-la-la-la-la-ing all the way to the mall! They also make me want to have a sister. I wonder if it’s too late to ask mom for one?

What about you? Do you look forward to holiday ad campaigns? Or are they not your cup of tea hot chocolate? Let me know in the comments!

Yorkdale Shopping Centre Fall 2010 Campaign

It seems just yesterday, I found out that I, along with nine other lucky ducks, won Yorkdale’s  Yorkdale is Me contest! It was an awesome and memorable journey, and it was an honor to be able to participate in the mall’s Spring 2010 campaign. Well, it is spring no longer, and Yorkdale’s Fall 2010 campaign is now out – and I love it so hard!

The thing that definitely drew me to these is their aesthetic. Totally inspired by Tommy Ton photos, no? Love that the campaign focuses on the many different styles and price points the Yorkdale stores carry. And since I’m an H&M junkie, I love that items from my fave store are featured a few times (can you spot them?). Overall, I find that these photos are very different from other malls’ advertisements, as well as compelling enough to make me want to go hunting shopping for those sweet camel-colored boots…now!

What do you think? Are you loving this campaign as much as I do? Let me know in the comments.

H&M Fall 2010 Lookbook

I really like the new Fall 2010 H&M campaign, featuring a fellow Canadian Daria Werbowy. It is by no means groundbreaking, nor especially different, but what I love about the pieces featured is how wearable they are. This is everyday/everywoman chic at its easiest, and by the looks of it at its comfiest too.

I already own most of the pieces featured (or some similar ones), but I still want the above grey sweater with asymmetrical hem – it’s just so simple, and I can imagine wearing it all through the winter. What do you think about this lookbook? Is it great or boring? Let me know in the comments.

H&M Divided Fall 2010 Lookbook

What do you think about H&M’s new Fall 2010 lookbook? The campaign features models Abbey Lee Kershaw, Karmen Pedaru, Patricia van der Vliet, Bastiaan Ninaber, and Josh Beech. I’ve seen most of the pieces in stores already, so if you’re after that McQueen-ish dress or that leopard print top, check out your local H&M for availability. To be honest, I am a bit underwhelmed by these photos. Perhaps due to the fact that I don’t want to even think about Fall yet, but also because I don’t see anything exciting featured in this campaign. Maybe it’s just me?

Wednesday Candy: Zinedine Zidane for Louis Vuitton

Since my favorite team since 1998 decided to self-destruct and subsequently crash and burn on the way out of the World Cup 2010, without winning a single game, I definitely needed something to cheer me up. And the new Louis Vuitton “Core Values” campaign helps ease the pain a bit.

Featured in the campaign are the “holy trinity” of soccer football: Pelé, Maradona, and surprisingly (even for me) Zidane, photographed by Annie Leibovitz. As an avid Zizou lover, I couldn’t help but smile at these images of the beloved and legendary French midfielder. It’s great to see him in the spotlight again, because the French team without Zinedine Zidane is…well, like a herd of sheep without a shephard…who just got eaten by the wolves for their own stupidity (who doesn’t train before an important game???).

So here are the photos of the three greatest footballers in the world – ever, starring in the latest Louis Vuitton campaign. And might I add that Zidane is still looking smoking hot, smiling, and enjoying life, knowing that he retired at the right time, and that he doesn’t have to endure the PR nightmare that is the French team at this time. Good for him.

Almost Famous

I still haven’t seen my billboard up close and personal…well, mostly because it’s at Yonge and Sheppard…and I am never at Yonge and Sheppard. It’ll be moved to Eglinton West in June, and I’ll be definitely seeing that one…a lot! In the meantime, huge thanks to Ed for the photos!

Now that my mug is on a billboard, should I get an agent to sort through the many beauty and fashion campaign offers that are bound to pour in? Just kidding about that…being one of the ten faces representing the best mall in Toronto should do for now. Thanks for your support, lovelies!

Vanessa Paradis for Chanel Cocoon Spring 2010

I must say, I really disliked the Lily Allen Cocoon ads last year…to style that girl as Audrey Hepburn’s most iconic character – that, to me, was blasphemous. There’s nothing Chanel or Audrey about Lilly.

Vanessa Paradis, however, is no Lilly Allen. She “screams” Chanel to me…that French je ne sais quoi that Parisian girls quite simply own – she’s definitely got it. Most people know her as Johnny Depp’s beautiful partner (in crime?), but to me, she’ll always be the “Joe le Taxi” girl! Her chic style has always been a huge inspiration to many, myself included. And I am very pleased with Karl’s choice this time around.

Love the softness of these images and the glint of naughty in her eyes in the top photo! Now if only she wasn’t holding the Cocoon bags! I never understood the appeal…to me, they are just so…ugly! Can’t find another word to say it. Not my cup of bag (let’s make this a thing!)…Do you like the bags? Vanessa? Hate the whole bloody campaign? Let me know in the comments!

Oh, and click here to watch my fave video of Vanessa, talking about falling in love with Johnny…le sigh.

Taylor Swift for CoverGirl

Easy, Breezy, Beautiful – Taylor Swift! Following in the famous footsteps of Christie Brinkley, Tyra Banks, Molly Sims, Queen Latifah, Ellen DeGeneres, Rihanna, and Drew Barrymore, Swift was announced as the new face of the beauty brand CoverGirl!

According to the press release, the 20-year-old, Grammy award-winning star has just finished shooting her first advertisements for the beauty giant, and will represent a new line of luxury products for the brand.  The ads are scheduled to debut in January 2011.

“I am so excited to become the next CoverGirl,” said Swift.  “I have admired many of the CoverGirls since I was a little girl . . . great artists and actresses who are confident and still themselves.  It’s like a dream come true to be a part of the future of CoverGirl”.

Erin Wasson for Pinko

Pinko, in my mind, will always be associated with this ugly…and I mean UGLY…baseball cap my best friend insisted on wearing during our trip to Italy. And no amount of begging and hating could change her mind on that hideous article of headgear. A few years later, Erin Wasson is the new face of Pinko, and the hate is subsiding. Love the shots (Terry Richardson to the core)! Love the styling! Especially the see-through lace dress! Very reminiscent of Erin’s earlier looks. Maybe next time I’m in Europe, I’ll finally be able to set foot in Pinko without shuddering at the memory of that cap, and think about Erin instead!
