Converse Spring 2012 Collection Preview

Last week, I stopped by Toronto’s Le Germain hotel for a preview of Converse Spring 2012 collection, hosted by MB Communications. I roamed the room, checking out the new styles, making mental notes as to which pair to buy for le boyfriend this season (the cool-looking “Leather Jacket” pair below), which pair to buy for myself (the extra lightweight mesh Converse), and which pair to gift to my Converse-loving friend (the black and white one from the Gorillaz collab).

Speaking of special collaborations! Converse once again teamed up with Marimekko and DC Comics, to produce awe-inspiring designs both for the folks that like their Chucks with a side of Batman, and those that like their shoes more on the feminine side.

The newest collaboration with the English musical and visual project Gorillaz, resulted in several graffiti-style pairs, that any self-respecting Converse lover would be happy to add to their collection.

After attending this preview, I can attest that there’s a Converse pair out there for everyone. Spring 2012 brings an abundance of classic Converse shoes in a variety of colors (pastels, anyone?), as well as many new and improved kicks, in leather, canvas, and mesh…printed, zippered, and painted over…oh, my!  Pairs that will make you feel like a superstar, or a superhero. All you have to do is decide on which pair to buy.

Converse Spring 2012 Collection is available in Toronto at Get Outside, among other retailers.
