Love Your Heart Giveaway

February was Heart Month, and as the founding sponsor of the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s The Heart Truth™ campaign, Becel is inspiring women to take care of their hearts with The Heart Truth Signature Scarf series – a collection of three exclusive scarves that symbolize support for heart health awareness among women across Canada. Every scarf incorporates The Red Dress™ into each design – the official symbol of The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Heart Truth™ Campaign –  representing courage, passion and heartfelt change for women across the country.

To support this initiative, Becel is launching the Love Your Heart Facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/loveyourheart. For every fan, Becel will donate $1 to the Heart & Stroke Foundation – up to $25,000.

Be strong and just throw out all the unhealthy food in the cupboards. Then go grocery shopping with your new-found goals in mind. I find the key to eating well is to have healthy staples on hand and easy to grab good-for-you snacks. Having a 16 year old boy in the house, I need endless amounts of food, but there are fruit bowls in both the kitchen and tv room, and just nothing fried or full of bad sugars around to tempt us.

I think cost is one of the main deterrents in winter to buying fresh vegetables but some of the root veggies which people tend to ignore are great steamed.
